Our motivations
Wilderness education shows us ways back to nature and perceives natural spaces themselves as educational forces. As a holistic approach, knowledge is not imparted in frontal teaching, but immersively through self-awareness and immersion - we experience our environment and learning content with all of our senses. Wilderness education deals with the relationship to the animal, fungal and plant world, weather conditions as well as aspects such as body and health, communication, community life, nutrition, education, intuition and much more.
In wilderness education games, we draw on ancient knowledge that has been passed down from indigenous cultures and is still being passed down today. For many thousands of years, indigenous cultures lived here in Central Europe. Even though many cultural treasures have been lost over the last few millennia of our history, the land is still there and tells its stories. When we set out on our adventures and spend time in nature, when we pause and listen, we can hear them, these ancient stories. In the silence of the forest, in the whispering of the wind, in the crackling of the fire, in the babbling of the streams, in the song of the birds, within us.
